“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop”

Confucius was an ancient (551 – 479 BC) Chinese philosopher who has inspired thousands, if not millions of people over the millennia with his moral teachings.

The big idea here is

  • To #KeepOnKeepingOn
  • Speed is not important
  • We just need to get there, even if it’s just getting up and getting dressed
  • Those of you that know my story know it has taken me 10 years to get here

Here’s how this applies to us on dialysis:

  • Losing our kidney function is a terrible thing, but we must not give up
  • Perseverance and endurance will keep us going and see us through

So, let’s put this into action:

  1. Don’t give up
  2. Have faith, even when it’s hard
  3. Choose a hobby or a project that interests or excites you
  4. Do a little bit each day
  5. Most of all, follow your renal diet
  6. I know it’s a struggle, but #KeepOnKeeping on
